Welcome to Pound Puppy Animal Rescue, Poole, Dorset, UK.

Pound Puppy Animal Rescue is a non profit organisation that rescues hundreds of young/adult/ancient dogs and cats every year that would otherwise be killed because they do not have a home. Having rescued the pets Pound Puppy Animal Rescue then provides medical treatment and tender loving care until they are healthy enough to find a new home.

Pound Puppy Animal Rescue find homes for unwanted, abandoned and stray puppies, dogs, cats and kittens from council pounds, breeders and homes that can no longer look after them. The animals stay in foster homes looked after by our volunteers in the area around Poole, Dorset until they find a suitable home.

We need foster families to provide temporary homes for our cats and kittens, dogs and puppies, preferably around Bournemouth and Poole. We supply everything the animal will need: food, bedding, crate. All you need to supply is love, a nice home and time. If you think you can help please e-mail your location and phone number to

We will rehome dogs and cats to Dorset and the surrounding counties: Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Hampshire and the Channel Islands, and further afield, home checks and circumstances permitting.

Dog lost in Lytchett Matravers area

Sandy lost in Lytchett Matravers/Corfe Mullen/Poole, Dorset
Sandy is a medium size Collie cross type. She is a street dog from Romania and is very wary of people. She has a white ring around her neck and a white chest. If you see her do not approach her because she will run. Please phone 0785 748 5659 or 0773 617 6613.

Multiple sightings of Sandy on 24th November afternoon in and around the village of Lytchett Matravers from where she initially escaped. Sandy jumped the fence the day she arrived in the rescue so she has no 'home' to return to. One of her puppies is local so we have used him to scent mark in the hope it draws her home.
