The founder and driving force of Pound Puppy Animal Rescue, Jayne Gooderson suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in March 2023.
Jayne worked tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome over 21,000 animals since she started. This would not have been possible without the team of immensely loyal friends, foster homes, helpers, all the amazing people who have adopted an animal and all those who have generously donated money or goods which has enabled Pound Puppy Rescue to continue their work for over 30 years.

As we have had a couple of enquiries, regarding whether we have any connections with other rescues, we would like to clarify that Pound Puppy Animal Rescue (PPAR) is a charity in its own right.
During this period of upheaval when the founder of PPAR suddenly passed away, other rescues kindly offered to step forward to stand in the breach and take on some of the animals that were in Jayne's personal care.
For this PPAR are very grateful, and would like to say an enormous thank you.
Thank you all.
